The weather has been all sorts of crazy lately, so I am reposting this outfit. As temperatures drop (or don't), I think this is a great summer to fall transition outfit!
Once in awhile I like to put on my power suit and look professional, but I'm a T-shirt kind of girl, so I was excited to come across this shirt from Lawrenson.
Statement T’s are just a great way to feel comfy, look stylish, and also infuse some personality into your wardrobe. Lawrenson has a distinct feminist identity as you can see from the slogan in this t-shirt! This design was made in India and printed in England, and it is made with 50% organic cotton and 50% Tencel, which is another sustainable fabric.
I styled it with a black-and-white striped skirt from People Tree; it has a drawstring and comes to about knee length. It’s super soft organic cotton made by fair trade, socially aware factories in India. To add a splash of color, you can’t go wrong with red ankle boots from Mamahuhu.
Mamahuhu is made in Colombia, so of course I went to their workshop and interviewed the owner! Check out my trip here.
Make this outfit perfect for almost any weather with this denim jacket from G-Star Raw (the one in the picture is not available but you can still get the Motac Slim Jacket!) A classic denim jacket can be a great asset to your overall wardrobe, especially when it’s well-made. G-Star Raw also has a corporate policy of transparency, sustainability, and giving back.
Tie in the red on the shoes and the T-shirt with these wrist-wrap bracelets from Noonday Collection are great. They are made by artisans in Guatemala, and the Noonday Collection supports women in small villages, providing them living wages and flexible work lives.
Throw these pieces together and you get a fun, fashionable statement that you will love. The best part is that each piece can be combined with another wardrobe item; you aren’t stuck repeating the same outfit.
Sustainable and ethical fashion has arrived, people!
