Sololu, a brand for the modern nomad
I love getting to know other designers because their stories motivate me to keep going in my own journey. Many of them are young women who have taken the good, the bad and the ugly of life to turn it into something positive, uplifting and that takes care of people and the environment.
Sololu's founder, Rosanne Hertogh, is living the life some of us dream about but few of us get to live. She spends her time travelling between Canada, USA and Mexico while running her online store.
What started as an e-commerce business that sells fair trade accessories is now looking to become a fashion brand. Sololu is currently doing a presale for its first collection, which consists of a 10-piece capsule in white, black and wine. Some of the clothes are reversible, which is an added plus!
It took two years of patience and hard work to find the perfect, ethical manufacturing partner in Bali, Indonesia. You can check out the collection and buy from the presales until the end of June! Early birds receive 20% off the original retail value, prices range between 15 to 80 CDN. The full collection, consisting of all 10 clothing designs + 1 free tote bag, can be purchased at a discounted price of 498 CDN. That's not bad for a year-round wardrobe!
